Haloy Youth Arm

The Kinabon Ni Haloy will have its youth arm after the April 26, 2009 meeting.

The meeting was called to encourage/motivate the young Haloys to actively participate in Haloy activities and to give them opportunities to know, familiarize, and bond with each other. Further, the formation of the Haloy youth arm prepares the young Haloys for their eventual responsibilities over the Kinabon ni Haloy Association.

On hand to give the orientation and support were Pedro Tormon, Haloy President; Ednar Caspe, Lakan of Family Caspe; Amador Valenzuela, Valenzuela Family President; Mary Panergo, Incoming Host Family President; and Henry Boy Caspe, who serves as adviser to the young Haloys.

The meeting was a lively interaction among the old, the not-so-old, and the young Haloys. Some of the responsibilities discussed which will be entrusted to the young Haloys are the internet updates, the souvenir programs, and the research/updates of the family trees.

It was also agreed that the youths will first conduct an activity, for them to familiarize with each other, before they elect their officers. The activity that was planned was a visit cum program for the indigents of the Home for Girls, a DSWD-handled institution for girls who have problems with their families, scheduled on May 17, 2009.

And everyone was served refreshments.
